CourierBrokers Driver App Privacy Policy

CourierBrokers ("CourierBrokers," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the CourierBrokers Driver mobile application ("Driver App") and related CourierBrokers services.
By using the Driver App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The Driver App may collect information that you provide directly, information associated with your CourierBrokers account, and certain information generated when you use the app.
Account and Profile Information
We may process information associated with your CourierBrokers driver account, including your name, username, company information, contact information, driver profile information, vehicle information, availability status, qualifications, certifications, and other information you choose to provide through CourierBrokers.
Location Information
The Driver App uses device location information to provide location-based driver and delivery services.
Depending on the permissions you grant, the Driver App may collect precise location information using GPS and other device location services while you are using the app. When you enable location tracking or driver availability features, location may also be collected while the app is running in the background.
Location information may be used to:
- Update your current driver location;
- Determine your proximity to available delivery jobs or loads;
- Provide location-based load alerts;
- Help shippers, brokers, dispatchers, or other authorized CourierBrokers users locate available drivers;
- Provide mapping, routing, pickup, and delivery-related features;
- Support driver availability and dispatch operations; and
- Maintain the last time your driver location was updated.
CourierBrokers may convert precise GPS coordinates into a broader public location such as city, state, and ZIP code for display on your driver profile. Precise GPS coordinates are not intended to be displayed publicly as your street address through this feature.
You can control location permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling location permissions may prevent certain Driver App features from functioning properly.
Job, Load, and Delivery Activity
We may process information about your use of CourierBrokers delivery features, including loads viewed or saved, load alerts, quotes or bids, approved jobs, job acknowledgements, pickup and delivery status, delivery workflow activity, and related transaction or operational information.
Messages and Communications
If you use messaging features within CourierBrokers, we may process messages and related information necessary to deliver and manage those communications between drivers and other CourierBrokers users.
Device and Notification Information
The Driver App may collect or use device identifiers and push notification tokens that are necessary to send notifications to your device. Notifications may include load alerts, messages, quote or job updates, and delivery-status information.
App Activity and Technical Information
We may collect information relating to your interaction with the Driver App and CourierBrokers services, such as account activity, last app activity, location-update times, and technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information collected through the Driver App to operate and provide CourierBrokers services, including to:
- Authenticate and manage driver accounts;
- Maintain driver profiles and availability;
- Provide GPS and location-based driver services;
- Display relevant available loads and delivery opportunities;
- Provide load alerts based on location and driver preferences;
- Process quotes, bids, jobs, and delivery-status updates;
- Facilitate communications between CourierBrokers users;
- Send operational and push notifications;
- Provide mapping and routing functionality;
- Protect the security and integrity of CourierBrokers services;
- Diagnose technical problems; and
- Maintain and improve our services.
3. Background Location
Certain Driver App functionality may require location access while the app is not actively visible on your screen. Background location may be used when you have enabled applicable location or driver availability features so that CourierBrokers can maintain your driver location and provide location-based driver, load, alert, and dispatch functionality.
The Driver App will request applicable Android location permissions. You can change these permissions through your device settings.
4. How Information May Be Shared
CourierBrokers does not sell your precise GPS location to advertisers.
Information may be shared as necessary to operate the CourierBrokers marketplace and Driver App. For example, appropriate driver profile, availability, and general location information may be made available to CourierBrokers users seeking drivers or transportation services.
We may also use service providers that help us operate features of the Driver App and website, including hosting, mapping and geocoding, notifications, communications, security, and other technical services. These providers may process information as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of CourierBrokers, our users, or others.
5. Google Services
The Driver App uses Google services for certain functionality. These services may include Google Maps or related location services for mapping, geocoding, distance, and location-based functionality, and Firebase services for mobile push notifications.
Information processed by Google services may also be subject to Google's applicable privacy policies and terms.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CourierBrokers services, maintain business and operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, protect our services, and enforce applicable agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it is maintained.
7. Data Security
CourierBrokers uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Depending on the feature and your device, you may be able to:
- Enable or disable location permissions through Android settings;
- Control notification permissions;
- Update certain CourierBrokers profile information;
- Change your driver availability or location-related settings; and

10. Children's Privacy
The CourierBrokers Driver App is intended for adults and professional drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Driver App.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make changes, we may update the effective date displayed at the top of this page. Continued use of the Driver App after an updated policy becomes effective is subject to the updated policy.
